10th May 2026
After a joyous April exploring the Lamp Transmission Record by Venerable Master Hsing Yun, we are delighted to have the NTI Lecturers join the community for the month of May to share their wisdom.
Sylvia Neubacher will guide us in her topic Reactivity and Response: The Middle Way in Everyday Life.
This session invites us to explore the Middle Way as it appears in the small, ordinary moments of daily life. Reactivity is often associated with strong emotion, but it can also show up in familiar patterns of thought, speech and action. Together, we will reflect on how we might notice these patterns before we are completely carried by them, creating a space where a more conscious intentional response becomes possible.
- Where do you notice reactivity showing up in your everyday life, whether as emotion, in what you say, or in patterns such as rushing, avoiding, fixing, withdrawing, or pushing through?
- Thinking of a recent moment of reactivity, what do you notice now as you reflect back on it?
