We are delighted to have a team from Nan Tien Institute guide us during the month of April. This week William Chong will present on The Engine of Cultivation: Venerable Master Hsing Yun’s Philosophy of Selfless Giving and Vows.
This presentation explores the “mechanics” of spiritual practice through the lens of Humanistic Buddhism. It examines how making a compassionate vow serves as the absolute engine of action, providing direction and momentum to what would otherwise be aimless motion. Using the metaphor of an “unbound boat,” the session illustrates how letting go of the ego and utilizing the “wind” of worldly pressures can transform daily suffering into a catalyst for forward growth and global peace.
