We are delighted to have a team from Nan Tien Institute guide us during the month of April exploring the Light Transmission Record by Venerable Master Hsing Yun. This week we invite Sioh Yang Tan to guide the session.
Rather than revisiting this text directly, Sioh Yang will turn to another body of work by the disciples – stories of wisdom drawn from everyday encounters with the Venerable Master. Through these narratives, she will explore the spirit that inspires the transmission of the Dharma, while hopefully encouraging interest in The Light Transmission Record of Humanistic Buddhism. Sioh Yang invites reflection on what we have received, and how we may, in turn, embody and offer it for the benefit of others and the world.
In preparation, Sioh Yang would like us to consider the following questions:
- Have you ever heard words from someone that changed your life or gave you new clarity? What were those words, and how did they affect you?
- What words or message would you like to share with the world?
