We are delighted to have a team from Nan Tien Institute present during the month of April. For the first week we welcome Michael Murphy to introduce The Light Transmission Record of Humanistic Buddhism by Venerable Master Hsing Yun. Michael will use a personal story to introduce this topic and we look forward to hearing about the work and experiences of this dedicated team.
In preparation, Michael would like us to consider the following questions:
1. What triggered your interest in the Buddha Dharma, and what inspires you to continue engaging with it (even if you are not a “Buddhist”)?
2. If we consider Buddhism to have three aspects: Practice (meditation and ethics), Study (learning) and Devotion (faith), what is your personal balance between these three?
