Venerable Juewei will be commencing the second month in the Wisdom series. Venerable will guide us in exploring:
“What If the Arhat Isn’t perfect but fully human?”
We imagine awakening as transcendence, escape, flawlessness. But what if it’s the radical act of being this human, with nothing left to fix or flee? Could liberation be the full embrace of the ordinary?
The questions she would like us to contemplate are:
- What part of you hesitates at the idea of perfection? What part longs for it? Can we stay with that tension?
- Is the goal of practice more about personal liberation, or collective harmony? Or can those two be separated?
